U.S. intelligence official Ronald S. Moultrie grew up looking at space sagas and the Apollo program and has been a longtime follower of science fiction. As head of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security, he oversees the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG).

He was one of two witnesses who testified during a May 17 hearing on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), traditionally known by the public as “UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects).” The other witness was Scott Bray, deputy director of Navy Intelligence.

“We’re people just like you, just like the American people. We have our inquisitiveness; we have our questions. We want to know what’s out there as much as you want to know what’s out there. We get the questions not just from you, we get it from family members, and we get them night and day, not just in committee hearings,” Mr. Moultrie expressed to members of Congress.

“So finding what’s out there is important, but first and foremost, it’s important for us to do that so that we can ensure that our people, our personnel, our aviators, our bases and installations are safe. And then that curiosity factor is something else that we just want to know because that’s the human race. It’s just that insatiable desire to know,” he added.

Though known as “unidentified” objects or phenomena, the flying crafts U.S. military personnel and people all over the world have been seeing are not “science fiction.” They are fact, they are real and they were taught of by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam in 1932, ten years before they appeared in 1942 during an event known as the “Battle of Los Angeles.”

“Master Fard Muhammad came to us from the Holy City of Mecca in Arabia. He pointed out to me a dreadful looking Plane a half-a-mile by a half-a-mile. It was made after the universe, of spheres: ‘wheels within wheels,’” according to early writings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. He referred to the crafts as “The Wheel,” or “The Mother Plane,” which contained 1,500 smaller “wheels,” or “Baby Planes.” This wheel-like object was also prophesized of in the Book of Ezekiel in the Bible.

“There is no known equal of the Mother Plane. The Mother Plane is made for the purpose of destroying the present world. She has no equal,” the Hon. Elijah Muhammad wrote in his book “The Fall of America” published in 1973.

“She is capable of staying away from you who plan the destruction of her,” he said of the Great Wheel. “She is capable of confusing you who would try to reach her with your means of destruction.”

Threats to national security

The hearing was held by the House Intelligence Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Counterproliferation Subcommittee. Chairman André Carson (D-Ind.) oversaw the hearing. The last public hearing on the subject was held over 50 years ago in the late 1960s.

“This hearing and oversight work has a simple idea at its core. Unidentified Aerial Phenomena are a potential national security threat, and they need to be treated that way. For too long the stigma associated with UAPs has gotten in the way of good intelligence analysis. Pilots avoided reporting or were laughed at when they did. It’s true. But they are real, they need to be investigated and many threats they pose need to be mitigated,” Mr. Carson said in his opening remarks.

Discussion swirled around the importance of destigmatizing UAP reports by military personnel and adopting a standardized data-collection process.

Conversation surrounding UAP within the government has increased in recent years. In August 2020, the UAP Task Force was established within the U.S. Navy due to “incursions” that represented “serious hazards to safety of flight.” After working to standardize reporting and engaging with Naval aviators, “Navy and Air Force crews now have step-by-step procedures for reporting on UAP on their kneeboard in the cockpit and in their post-flight debrief procedures,” Mr. Bray said.

“The message is now clear, if you see something, you need to report it. And the message has been received,” he stated.

The Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG) was created to replace the UAP Task Force due to an amendment made in the defense spending bill for 2022.

Political activist and disclosure advocate Stephen Bassett expressed to The Final Call that the hearing was “safe,” “normal” and went as expected.

“It’s what the government should have been doing in the public arena for decades, going back to the ‘60s and ‘50s, even, but they didn’t. They decided to embargo this issue from the American people,” he said.

He stated that what’s new is that the hearing was held and that it was conducted appropriately and professionally.

Nation of Islam Student Minister Ilia Rashad Muhammad wasn’t surprised at the “extremely limited” information shared with the public. He described to The Final Call that the hearing was a “limited hangout,” or an intelligence operation where the government acknowledges portions of the truth in public but withholds vital facts, in an attempt to “mislead the public into believing whatever they wanted them to believe.”

The hearing occurred almost exactly one year after CBS’ “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whitaker interviewed current and former government and military personnel on their experiences.

“Imagine a technology that can fly at 13,000 miles per hour, that can evade radar, that can fly through air, water and possibly space, that has no sign of propulsion, no wings, no control surfaces and yet can still defy the natural effects of earth’s gravity,” former U.S. senior intelligence officer Luis Elizondo said at the time.

In June 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence released a nine-page preliminary assessment on UAP based on 144 U.S. government-reported incidents that occurred between 2004 and 2021. The report and explanations it provided were brought up during the hearing. Possible explanations include: airborne clutter, natural atmospheric phenomena, classified programs by U.S. entities, technology from an adversary of the U.S. government and “other.”

“Since the release of that preliminary report, UAP Task Force database has now grown to contain approximately 400 reports,” Mr. Bray said.

The truth about ‘UAP’

Through the line of questioning and through witness testimonies, one thing was clear: no one in the room had an explanation for the phenomena. If they did, it was kept silent.

Mr. Moultrie expressed that they were “open to all hypotheses” and “to any conclusions that we may encounter.”

Mr. Bray showed footage of an aircraft operating in a U.S. Navy training range that had “observed (a) spherical object in that area.”

“It looks reflective in this video, somewhat reflective, and it quickly passes by the cockpit of the aircraft,” he described. But he admitted, “I do not have an explanation for what this specific object is.” He also admitted, “We’re not aware of any adversary that can move an object without discernible means of propulsion.” He could say, for certainty, that “a number of these are physical objects.”

Though the witnesses could not or did not explain certain things about the flying crafts, the U.S. government may not be as “unaware” of the crafts as it seems. In 1942 after the “Battle of Los Angeles,” the FBI arrested the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and questioned him on a drawing of The Wheel.

“The Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s home was also raided, and the Teachings that Master Fard Muhammad had left with him were taken from the home and the Temple. Later, he was questioned by the FBI on the drawing of The Wheel, and his writing about it, that they had taken from the Temple; and he explained to the government of the United States and to the FBI: one, its aim and purpose; two, who made it; and three, why it is now above America,” the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, top student of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, said in Part 52 of his 2013 lecture series “The Time and What Must be Done.”

Minister Farrakhan recalled that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad referred to The Wheel as a “masterpiece of mechanics and engineering” and “the greatest military weapon ever developed in the annals of the history of Allah (God) and man in this universe.”

“He said that the Vision of this Wheel was seen thousands of years before it came into being, or became a reality. He said that this weapon was made for the purpose of destroying this present world in The Final Battle with the forces of evil that had ruled our present world,” Minister Farrakhan stated.

He continued further: “The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that this Great Wheel was made for military purposes, for it was to engage in The Great ‘Battle in the Sky’ that would end this world and usher in that world that the prophets exclaimed would come at the end of the 6,000-year rule of the enemy of Allah (God) and the enemy of the Aboriginal People of the Earth.”

In Muhammad Speaks newspaper, June 8, 1973, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad wrote an article titled “Ezekiel’s Wheel: The Battle in the Sky,” which stated in part: “I am so happy that Allah (God) has prepared this unmatchable weapon to save us, the Black People [of America]!”

Min. Farrakhan himself has experienced the reality of The Wheel. Over the years, he has recounted his 1985 more-than-a-vision experience and has described his personal connection to The Wheel. “I represent the Most High God who sits in that Wheel that Ezekiel saw, a Wheel in the middle of a Wheel, and I visited that Wheel. He brought me to that Wheel like Allah brought Muhammad in a night vision to the inner sanctum of Himself,” Min. Farrakhan said.

After that experience, he went before the world in a press conference at the National Press Club to share his encounter.

In an October 2021 press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., Air Force veterans revealed their fears and anxieties about UAP. Dr. Robert Jacobs, former first lieutenant in the United States Air Force, detailed how on Sept. 14, 1964, he saw an object shaped like a flying saucer fire four beams of light at a test missile traveling at 8,000 mph. Former Air Force Capt. Robert Salas bore witness of events that happened March 1967 at an underground launch control facility at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana.

The event was brought up in the hearing by Rep. Michael Gallagher (R-Wisc.). He questioned, “It’s also been reported that there have been UAP observed and interacting with and flying over sensitive military facilities, particularly, and not just ranges, but some facilities housing our strategic nuclear forces. One such incident allegedly occurred at Malmstrom Air Force Base in which 10 of our nuclear ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles) were rendered inoperable. At the same time, a glowing red orb was observed overhead. I’m not commenting on the accuracy of this. I’m simply asking you whether you’re aware of it and whether you have any comment on the accuracy of that report.”

Mr. Bray and Mr. Moultrie responded that they did not see official data, that they did not look at the incident and that the incident was not brought to their attention officially.

Mr. Gallagher also asked the witnesses about “a document that appeared around 2019 sometimes called the Admiral Wilson Memo or EW Notes memo.” The unverified document, dated Oct. 16, 2002, details an alleged meeting between astrophysicist Dr. Eric Davis and then Vice Admiral Thomas Wilson, who was the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. It outlines “a labyrinth of secret government programs hidden from top officials and congressional oversight committees about crashed UFO materials and efforts to reengineer the technology,” according to Politico.

On February 25, 1942, the “Battle of Los Angeles” happened. The event is cited as one of the first known sighting of so called “UFOs”. The U.S. military fired more than 1,400 anti-aircraft shells at the objects, but all of them missed. A few months later, Nation of Islam temple was raided by law enforcement officers who took information about the Hon. Elijah Muhammad’s teaching on the Mother Plane and the reality of the existence of these crafts. The Los Angeles Times newspaper (above) wrote about the 1942 incident.

The witnesses were not aware of the document. The memo was entered into official record without objection.

Mr. Bassett described that line of questioning as significant and said it set the stage for future hearings. “The nuclear weapons tampering witnesses that were present when our missiles were shut off in the presence of these vehicles will be the centerpiece,” he said.

A closed, classified briefing was held after the open hearing. Based on questions and responses in the open hearing, topics in the closed session included allies and adversaries who have reported on the flying crafts, underwater sensors that detect submerged UAPs and if encounters with the crafts have altered the development of offensive, defensive or sensor capabilities.

Student Min. Ilia Muhammad, author of the book “UFOs And The Nation Of Islam: The Source, Proof, And Reality Of The Wheels,” expressed that if the government was truly concerned about getting answers, they would invite members of the Nation of Islam who have the answers.

“Minister Farrakhan has been challenging and threatening the government and Congress to bring him before Congress to have a showdown to see whether or not what Master Fard Muhammad revealed to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad is right and exact,” he said. “And despite all of our efforts to be brought before Congress and these public forums, it’s very telling that we can’t even get Congress to subpoena us … to discuss matters that we are experts in.”

Towards the end of the open hearing, Rep. Darin LaHood (R-Il) questioned about “legal consequences” for people in groups involved in the UAP field, examples of people being held accountable for disinformation and the deterrent to keep people from engaging in the field. Mr. Moultrie hinted at future conversations with Congress “to say what should be the legal ramifications that we could use to potentially hold individuals accountable, whether it be citizens or information that might be injected into our media by other forces or other countries.”

Student Min. Ilia Muhammad said some may look at those words as an “opportunity to continue censoring the Nation of Islam … to keep the public from knowing what we have to say.”

“When White folks talk about consequences, when American powers talk about consequences for misleading, that’s never been based on truth. That’s always been an opportunity to try to censor and silence those who actually have truth,” he said. “The other thing related to that is that if there are to be consequences for those giving false or misleading hoaxes and information about UFOs, then the U.S. government would have to face these consequences first and foremost.”

“We have people who are racists. We have people who don’t like us because of the color of our skin and that’s what happened today. He had nigger written on the tip of the gun and he has a manifesto. I was told, which I don’t know, that he planned on killing more people, basically going down the street, randomly shooting people,” Buffalo, N.Y. resident Cariol Horne said. She was speaking in the aftermath of a racial massacre executed by a “gleeful” Payton Gendron, who police say plotted and carried out the worst mass murder of 2022.

A mother, grandmother, anti-police brutality and community advocate, Ms. Horne was in a meeting about violence in her hometown. She left and rushed over to a Tops supermarket in the heart of the Black community after hearing about a mass shooting. Upon arrival, she saw a body lying on the ground. Then she heard the stories of loss and trauma inflicted May 14 by a White outsider, who came to town to kill Black people.

Liz Bosley, 64, a member of Most Valuable Parents of Buffalo, an organization seeking to improve relations between local public schools, parents and their children, told The Final Call she was in the same meeting as Ms. Horne when word of the shootings arrived. She joined others and rushed to the supermarket.

“I pulled up on the scene and actually saw them putting the young man in the (police) car,” Ms. Bosley said. “It was chaotic when I arrived. They were just releasing the employees and they all were coming out a back door, and the crowd got crazy because they had people in the store and didn’t know if they were let out or were in there dead. I had a childhood family friend who was killed in the store, Deacon Patterson,” she said.

Pastor Russell Bell, of Buffalo’s State Tabernacle Church, identified Ms. Bosley’s friend as Heyward Patterson, 67, describing him as a kind man who stopped at Tops supermarket to purchase additional items after helping to serve food from his church’s kitchen. “From what I understand, he was assisting somebody putting their groceries in their car when he was shot and killed,” the pastor said.

Denial of hatred of Blacks, denial of racism must end

“On a national level we need to deal with racism. We need to deal with the issue and stop sugarcoating it,” Ms. Horne said, in a telephone interview the day the killings occurred. “So many people are just trying to hide and go along to get along, instead of just dealing with the issue for what it is,” continued the onetime police officer. “Racism is not anything new, it’s something that’s been going on. And because you have Black faces in high places does not mean that we have overcome. We still doing that little song and dance as if we have overcome, and we haven’t.”

Targeted murder may be the ultimate expression of anti-Black hatred, but racism is pervasive, commented Ms. Horne. Think about the racism in police departments, discrimination in hiring and housing, bias in the courts and criminal justice system and lack of concern for Black youth, she pointed out.

Ms. Horne knew Aaron Salter, a 55-year-old recently retired Black police officer working at the supermarket as a security guard. He was shot to death by the racial terrorist, according to authorities. One woman said Mr. Salter, who confronted the military-clad and armor protected shooter, and fired his weapon to protect others, saved her daughter, recounted Ms. Horne. His shots, however, could not pierce body armor worn by the White killer who took his life.

“I worked with him and he just was a great person, very kind, mannerable, calm, mild mannered. So I was sad, once I found out that it was him that had got shot and passed away and especially saving somebody else,” Ms. Horne continued. It’s important to acknowledge good officers, she said. Ms. Horne was fired from the police force for stopping a White officer from choking a handcuffed Black suspect. After years of fighting, she won her pension. She pushed a law to require officers to intervene when a colleague is acting in a violent, illegal way.

Ms. Horne saw the horror, panic, anger of loved ones wanting to know where family members, workers, co-workers were. They were held back by police securing the crime scene. She heard the stories of those killed; a man who came from out of town and stopped by the supermarket to get charcoal for a barbeque. She knew people who worked at the supermarket.

“There was a young lady she’s about 17, 18, 19. She had just had a baby, so I didn’t know she had returned to work, but her mom also worked there. When she came out, she saw me. She just had tears rolling down her face and I just hugged her. She was saying, ‘He was right by me. He was right by me.’ This just goes into the trauma that she has to deal with for the rest of her life seeing people killed around her because of someone’s hate.

And that is the issue that we have not been dealing with,” said Ms. Horne. She noted the accused mass murderer was arrested without violence but weeks ago police drove through the community randomly shooting at a Black male they said shot at them.

“We need to wake up like yesterday,” said Ms. Horne. “You have the youth killing each other, you have the police shooting at us, and then you have a racist come into our community.”

Blacks need to stop the violence among one another, she continued. Her father, 97 years old, was a shooting victim and her son is in prison for murder, she said. She doesn’t agree with how the case against her son was handled or his sentence but there are problems Blacks need to face up to inside their own house, and outside attacks should awaken Blacks, she said.

“If another Black man kills another Black man, I think I’m just going to throw up. Like I am so sick of it. Like we don’t need help because we’re (killing) ourselves. I understand that it’s been ingrained in us and we need to change our mentality. The civil rights movement was many decades ago, and we’re still fighting that same fight?”

She argues all guns need to be banned, except weapons for military use. There needs to be a healing and recognition that the country has a deep, serious problem, she added. “It’s just time to deal with it on a national level. And I definitely want to be part of the solution, but we have to have leadership that’s going to listen and I’m not asking. I’m saying it and I’m demanding it.”

CNN reported Mr. Gendron was “gleeful” in achieving his deadly goal and disturbing in interviews according to authorities.

Dahveed Muhammad grew up in Buffalo and has served as the Nation of Islam representative in the city for 14 years. “People are feeling grief, sadness, anger. People are stunned. People are outraged. There is shock. People have mixed feelings,” he said. His comments reflected the observations of others in a city rocked by sudden, violent, premeditated murders. The raw feelings were exposed during a Sunday prayer vigil.

Letitia James, a Black woman and New York attorney general, was heckled and shouted down when she tried to speak, he said. One young activist, in particular, called her out for failing to prosecute police officers and deal with unexplained deaths at the Erie County Holding Center, Mr. Muhammad explained. “People want accountability from officials, elected officials, and organizations. There’s a great amount of dissatisfaction with elected officials, with leadership. There’s also a determination to want to try to come together and bring about some healing and unity. People are soul searching,” Mr. Muhammad said.

The tragedy just happened yesterday, he noted in a May 15 telephone interview. The names of all those lost is coming out slowly and some “very dear” people, like the mother of former fire commissioner Darnell Whitfield, are gone, said Mr. Muhammad.

Nina Johnson, 53 is a lifelong Buffalo resident. She was born and raised in the city and were it not for a last-minute rescheduled appointment, would have been across the street from Tops Friendly Markets around the time of the shooting. She has shopped there several times over the years as it is in a predominately Black area on the East Side of Buffalo.

Ms. Johnson, a retired New York state trooper told The Final Call that Black folks are in disbelief and shock but are also angry and on edge in the aftermath of the shooting. “This man has traveled all these many miles to come do this. We got a problem, and you know our people are getting mad. You know enough is enough … you done came in our inner city where we already have enough issues, to bring this? It’s just been really, really hard on everybody,” said Ms. Johnson.

She said the city is on edge and that Black residents will be monitoring the case closely. “This man traveled so many hours just to get here. Like really you had come to the inner city that’s already struggling, already got some things to be said about how we’re treated against our White counterparts? And then you bring this, and you know, that it is racially motivated. And it’s like yeah, now what are you going to do because if you didn’t know before, you know now. Now what are you going to do? I just think whatever the outcome is going to be will definitely determine how the residents, our Black residents are going to act from here moving forward,” said Ms. Johnson.

White replacement theory feeds the murder of Blacks

This was “nothing more than a hunt,” commented CNN national security analyst Juliett Kayyem as the cable network reported the accused murderer conducted recognizance on his kill site the day before the slaughter. “He’s not a lone wolf,” she stressed.

These killers have a herd, it’s found online and amplified by politicians and media hosts feeding the idea of White replacement theory, she said. They believe the pie is limited and Whites are being displaced by Blacks, which justifies the “hunt,” Ms. Kayyem explained. The herd is from Fox News to politicians who “wink and nod” but these killers and adherents know exactly what they mean, the analyst explained.

Until we recognize this as pure violence, we are just going to dance around what is going on, she warned.

The FBI warned in 2021 and 2019 of the deadly danger of White supremacists in the United States but has often been attacked and criticized for its findings. The right wing and Republican Party, in particular, have railed against the warnings, often demanding that government power be constrained and rights of free speech and gun ownership be respected.

A report came out in the early part of the last presidential administration, Melba Pearson, a former assistant state attorney in Florida’s Miami-Dade County and a prosecutor for 16 years told The Final Call. “The FBI was trying to look into and raise the alarm because of the level of information that they (kept) getting from a variety of sources. They were seeing an uptick in this and saying it was a problem and we need to address it. The FBI director was the target of a lot of ire from the last president for a number of reasons, this report being one of them,” she said.

The Buffalo shooting is part of a fallout from the last presidential administration and a greater issue facing Blacks and impacting other communities, such as Asians, immigrants and Jews, added Ms. Pearson.

“The Department of Justice definitely needs to be on the ground to investigate this case along with local law enforcement (and) it’s my understanding that it is already in progress. What we see many times is that the Department of Justice will have a parallel investigation to the local authorities,” she noted.

The speed of the alleged shooter’s arrest and arraignment was appropriate because he was caught at the scene with witnesses present, still in possession of his weapon, and talked out of committing suicide by the authorities, Ms. Pearson continued.

There is not much room for debate regarding his identity, she said.

Dr. Ron Daniels, a political scientist, activist and president of the Institute of the Black World 21st Century, told The Final Call the climate of anti-Black hatred in America is frightening. White nationalism is the enemy of Black people and clearly demonstrates that Black lives do not matter in the United States, he said.

“What we now see is a scenario, which in this current environment, (has) been encouraged by the open embrace of White nationalism by the previous president,” Dr. Daniels said. “He brought it clearly out into the open in a way that’s unprecedented so now you have what is called the fear of the Browning of America. There are forces that really want to keep America as a White man’s land,” Dr. Daniels insisted. “They want religious and racial purity to prevail.”

Dr. Daniels, who is based in New York, said rhetoric surrounding White replacement theory demonstrates White fears of becoming a minority population within the United States by mid-century. Policies intended to reduce Black and Brown populations while promoting the increase of White populations are driving not only politics of the far-right, but also the violence increasingly embraced by their rank-and-file, he said.

“So now, they have come out in the open,” Dr. Daniels said. “This is a warning (and) it is dangerous, but it also means that we must arm ourselves with ballots, we must arm ourselves with boycotts, we must arm ourselves with economic sanctions, with ways to defend our communities because this is serious.”

Anger, fear, pain in a small city

Like others Dahveed Muhammad was worried when he heard names of those still unaccounted for. He frantically called a comrade in the city’s culturally conscious community. He didn’t initially get a response. He was relieved when he found out the woman and her daughter were safe. They had to run for their lives during the Saturday afternoon supermarket attack.

An eyewitness to the murders, Grady Lewis, also spoke to the accused terrorist for 90 minutes the day before the massacre, Mr. Muhammad continued. “The reason why he approached him is because he didn’t fit in, he had a t-shirt on that said ‘Genius’ on it. It’s an all-Black neighborhood. The few Whites that do go to the supermarket, they kind of fit in. They may have grown up over there. This White guy looked different,” he said. The two talked about many things, including critical race theory, which has been demonized by the White right. “The guy asked him, ‘are you going to be here tomorrow?’ ”

Many suspect the 18-year-old alleged killer didn’t act alone given how far he traveled and how the neighborhood and supermarket were chosen, the Muslim student minister said. Others say the info was available on Google, he noted. Some suspect the White assailant could have been recruited, groomed and dispatched on his deadly mission, he said.

The mixed feelings include how much exposure to give the race manifesto attributed to Mr. Gendron. Some said don’t give him more notoriety, others have found and spread the manifesto and elements of his history, Mr. Muhammad observed. “Other people are saying, ‘I think it should be known how much these people hate you.’ ”

The governor, the police chief, the sheriff all called the killings, hate crimes, terrorism and people agree because there’s so much evidence of it, commented Mr. Muhammad. “A lot of times law enforcement will try to slow walk things and say, let’s not rush to judgment, but it’s just overwhelming evidence. He had the word nigger scrawled on his weapon. He had a manifesto. He had hate speech.” And, he added, video of the attack shows the gunman bypassing a White person, apologizing and moving on to kill Blacks.

“It’s not a city where a lot of these international, a lot of these same kinds of things happen. It’s a shock to us,” Mr. Muhammad said. “But Buffalo has been at the top of the list of the most racist cities in America for many years, either second or third.”

Racial problems in the country aren’t limited to a certain location, Mr. Muhammad noted. “It bears witness to what the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has said. He’s been warning us. He warned us long ago, recently, consistently about the judgment of God and how we would see these kinds of things happening. The fall of America is happening at a more rapid pace. It is causing our people to at least soul search, to realize that we have to have greater unity amongst ourselves.”

Federal agents interviewed the parents of the teen suspect and served multiple search warrants, a law enforcement official said. Federal authorities were still working to confirm the authenticity of the 180-page manifesto that was posted online, which detailed the plot and identified Mr. Gendron by name as the gunman, the official said. Authorities say the shooting was motivated by racial hatred.

Payton Gendron’s parents were cooperating with investigators, the official said. The official was not authorized to discuss details of the investigation publicly and spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Mr. Gendron traveled about 200 miles from his Conklin, New York home, to Buffalo and that particular grocery store, and to a place which has the largest Black population in western New York.

Investigators believe Mr. Gendron specifically researched the demographics of the population around the Tops Friendly Market and had been searching for communities with a high number of Black residents.

Police said Mr. Gendron shot, in total, 11 Black people and two White people in a rampage broadcast live before surrendering to authorities. Screenshots purporting to be from the Twitch broadcast appear to show a racial epithet scrawled on the rifle used in the attack, as well as the number 14, a likely reference to a White supremacist slogan.

“We pray for their families. But after we pray—after we get up off of our knees—we’ve got to demand change. We’ve got to demand justice,” state Attorney General Letitia James said at an emotional Sunday church service in Buffalo the day after the mass shooting. “This was domestic terrorism, plain and simple.”

“This was pure evil,” added Erie County Sheriff John Garcia, who expressly called the shooting a hate crime. Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia called the killings a hate crime. “He was very heavily armed,” Commissioner Gramaglia said. “He had tactical gear, he had a tactical helmet on, he had a camera that he was livestreaming what he was doing.” Mr. Gendron shot four people, three fatally, in the supermarket parking lot. One victim is expected to be the lone survivor. Another official said Mr. Gendron was armed with an assault weapon.

Twitch said in a statement that it ended Mr. Gendron’s transmission “less than two minutes after the violence started.”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Buffalo native, denounced the killings as hate crimes and domestic terrorism. She vowed to fight White supremacists. She also called for the tech industry to take responsibility for their role in propagation of extreme views and talked about the need for stronger gun laws.

The White House and civil rights groups condemned the killings.

Mr. Gendron, confronted by police in the store’s vestibule, put a rifle to his neck but was convinced to drop it. He was arraigned May 14 on a murder charge, appearing before a judge in a paper gown. He pled not guilty. Buffalo police declined to comment on the purported manifesto that seemingly explicates the attacker’s racist, anti-immigrant and antisemitic beliefs, including a desire to drive all those not of European descent from the U.S. The document indicated he drew inspiration from the shooter who killed 51 people at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2019.

War, Warning and Divine Guidance

“And Allah would not chastise them while thou wast among them; nor would Allah chastise them while they seek forgiveness.”—Holy Qur’an 8:33

Europe will be the graveyard of White world powers as a result of war raging between Russia and Ukraine. The bloody battle in Eastern Europe will eventually draw America and Western European nations into conflict—then spread further, warned the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, of the Nation of Islam, in a recent message.

Fierce rhetoric from all sides and transfers of stronger war-ware to Ukraine by America and her allies also seem to foreshadow an all-out clash of nations, World War III or what is scripturally called Armageddon.

Analysts and observers agree that a world war involving America and Russia, the world’s number one and number two nuclear powers, poses an extreme danger

In words of warning and guidance given on May 2, Minister Farrakhan, the National Representative of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam, discussed the war, where it is headed, its dire consequences for the world, and what the peoples of the earth must do to avoid divine chastisement.

“The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to me it will start with conventional weapons and quickly it will be nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons will make Europe a graveyard,” said Minister Farrakhan, referring to words spoken by his teacher, the Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam. The Minister said further from his teacher that the resulting conflict will engulf the planet.

Minister Farrakhan spoke to thousands of listeners on the “Ramadan Prayer Line,” an annual conference call of Muslims globally held during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. He spoke on the Muslim Eid Al-Fitr holiday which marks the end of the 30-day fast.

In the same week, U.S. lawmakers pushed through the “Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act of 2022” which expands presidential powers to easily send armaments to Ukraine by relaxing certain requirements. The act permits the president to authorize America to lend or lease weaponry to Ukraine or Eastern European countries impacted by Russia’s invasion to bolster their defense capabilities.

The decision came a week after U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin openly pronounced a U.S. desire to “weaken” Russia to “the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine.” Mr. Austin’s statement was widely seen as America going from just supporting Ukraine to targeting Russia.

The verbal escalation might be regarded as rhetorical chest-bumping if America and Russia were not holders of 90 percent of the world’s nuclear stockpiles. America was the first country to manufacture nuclear weapons. She is the only country to have used nuclear weapons in conflict with the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan during World War II. The bombings instantly killed tens of thousands of people and tens of thousands later died from radiation poisoning.

Many see the Russia-Ukraine conflict as a covert war between Russia and America with Western European support for Ukraine. “NATO, in essence, is engaged in a war with Russia through a proxy and is arming that proxy. War means war,” foreign minister Sergey Lavrov told Russian state media. He made the remarks as NATO’s defense ministers gathered April 26 in Germany for U.S.-hosted talks about strengthening support for Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the invasion, President Joe Biden has vowed America will not send troops into Ukraine. But America and her Western European allies appear to be going in deeper as war drags on. Reports surfaced that besides massive shipments of military hardware and advanced weaponry, the Biden administration has provided intelligence to Ukraine. That information allegedly allowed for targeted killings of Russian generals and the April sinking of a Russian missile cruiser in the Black Sea. Since the start of the war, some 15 Russian generals have been killed, according to published reports.

A Pentagon spokesman denied the U.S. provided intel on the Russian military officials killed, adding that America shared intelligence about the warship’s location before the strike and denied any direct role in the strike.

“Ukraine combines information that we and other partners provide with the intel that they themselves are gathering and then they make their own decisions, and they take their own actions,” said military spokesman John Kirby.

War, death and divine destruction

Thousands of people have been killed, and millions more displaced in a war that has leveled entire Ukrainian cities. The upheaval is raging at a time when White power worldwide is imploding, and divine judgment of the world and America is happening.

In his pivotal book, “Message To the Black Man,” the Hon. Elijah Muhammad detailed the global dilemma.

“There is no doubt in anyone’s mind today that the condition of the nations is such that needs a ruler who is not involved in the present world of corruption to bring about peace and good will among the people of the earth,” wrote Mr. Muhammad.

Peace cannot happen for those seeking peace until the peace breakers have been removed from authority and their activities of mischief making, causing bloodshed, grief, sorrow and trouble among peace-loving nations have stopped, the Hon. Elijah Muhammad warned.

“There is not a civilized government of people at this writing that is not in trouble and trying to find a solution to the cause. All the nations of the earth are so corrupt with other than good that they cannot come to any agreement on peace with each other, then carry it into practice,” he wrote.

The scriptures read: “Proclaim you among the Gentiles, prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all of the men of war draw near, let them come up.” (Joel 3:9).

The Hon. Elijah Muhammad explained the ultimate war is between the evil proponents of falsehood and the purveyors of truth led by God. He wrote that all the mighty men of science and modern warfare have been called in to devise instruments and weapons against God Himself, who he taught was Master Fard Muhammad, the Messiah of the Christians, the Mahdi of the Muslims, and his teacher.

“The nations of the earth are angry,” the Hon. Elijah Muhammad observed.

As the carnage of war grows, America will reinstate the draft, calling people to report in and fight, Min. Farrakhan said. Reject that call, the Minister declared. The struggle for Blacks is in America for justice and freedom, not foreign battlefields, he said. Elijah Muhammad said when America is drawn in the war, she will send her troops by the tens of thousands to fight but return by the fives and the tens, Min. Farrakhan added.

In 1942 Elijah Muhammad was falsely accused of sedition and draft evasion. Though beyond the age requirement for the draft he was wrongly sent to federal prison. He was against Blacks participating in World War II while America refused to give justice to her once slaves.

Point Number 10 of a platform he presented, “What the Muslims Want/What the Muslim Believe” and published on the back page of The Final Call, explains the anti-war position of the Nation of Islam: “We believe that we who declare ourselves to be righteous Muslims should not participate in wars which take the lives of humans. We do not believe this nation should force us to take part in such wars, for we have nothing to gain from it unless America agrees to give us the necessary territory where-in we may have something to fight for.”

Minister Farrakhan echoed the point during his Eid remarks. He reminded listeners of how heavyweight champion boxer Muhammad Ali, then a follower of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad, refused to fight in the Vietnam War. In a message earlier this year, “The Swan Song,” the Minister said while he would be 90 years old by the time the draft call is made, he expects the U.S. government to arrest him for telling Blacks not to fight.

While the president has vowed not to send U.S. troops into Europe, it may not be that easy. Advocacy and sympathy for Ukraine is widely publicized and encouraged—as is news of destruction, death and alleged atrocities committed against civilians and children.

Min. Farrakhan asked, how can the United States stay out of the war when the American people are being bombarded with pictures of the devastation and the suffering of Ukrainians beamed into their homes? Images and stories of alleged rapes, brutality and mayhem in Ukraine have dominated U.S. media since the Feb. 24 Russian attack on its neighbor.

An April 21 report by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research showed 54 percent of Americans polled felt Mr. Biden was “not tough enough” in his response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Thirty-six percent of respondents felt his approach has been just about right, while eight percent said he was too tough.

America boosted preparation for war and destruction as did other nations before Russia’s invasion. Mr. Biden’s 2023 budget sought $773 billion for the Pentagon, an annual increase of about four percent.

Globally, total military spending rose to more than $2 trillion for the first time in 2021, according to an April report from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. Russia ranked fifth, as its spending on weapons increased ahead of its invasion of Ukraine.

Minister Farrakhan told the listeners on the Ramadan Prayer Line that war will also engulf the Middle East. Although his words were delivered on the Muslim holiday of Eid, “there’s no ever-recurring happiness among us,” he said. “This will turn to gloom as war overtakes the Middle East,” Minister Farrakhan warned.

War in the region is rooted in hostility and divisions between Sunni and Shiite Muslims aggravated by outside “poison mischief makers,” notably the United States, encouraging Muslims to shed the blood of Muslims, he said.

America sells the latest bombers and instruments of warfare to Arab Sunni Muslims with the aim of killing their Shiite Muslim foes based in Tehran, Iran, and the Shia Muslims allied with Iran appear willing to kill their Muslim brothers on the other side, Min. Farrakhan observed.

The predominate Sunni Gulf nations led primarily by Saudi Arabia are allies of America and political rivals of Iran for regional power and influence.

America is the top exporter of arms worldwide.

Saudi Arabia is America’s top customer for global arms transfers and the Middle East accounts for 43 percent of U.S. arms transfers.

But Elijah Muhammad said America is coming out of the Middle East and when she leaves, there will be “plenty” of bloodshed, warned Min. Farrakhan.

China, the second most powerful world economy and a growing military power, will unite with Japan, he said, citing the Hon. Elijah Muhammad.

And, Min. Farrakhan said, China, like Russia and North Korea, is building forces of death and destruction. Like in the Middle East, Europeans will have to leave Asia and return to Europe, including leaving Australia and New Zealand, the Minister continued.

Elijah Muhammad said America’s Sixth Fleet and Seventh Fleet will be destroyed by the forces of nature, Min. Farrakhan said. The forces of nature are weapons God will use against the current world powers, according to the Teachings of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad.

In somber terms, Min. Farrakhan also talked about wretched spiritual conditions, rebellion against God’s commands and divine judgment and wrath that has begun. He called for repentance to avoid ongoing divine chastisement.

Unusually brutal weather sweeping America and parts of the earth is an indicator of God’s displeasure and anger over the iniquitous actions of the people that are now “unbearable to Allah,” the Minister warned.

“The God of Justice is angry! And His anger is going to be poured out now over the nations, and the earth will be a wide expanse with much room in it because death is going to be widespread,” said Minister Farrakhan.

[Correction: In Final Call Volume 41 No. 31, part of the cover story and center article should have quoted Min. Farrakhan saying, “The Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, told me, ‘watch Berlin.’ Now there are hundreds of thousands of Americans back in Germany because war will be in Europe. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to me it will start with conventional weapons and quickly it would be nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons will make Europe a graveyard, he said.”]

The Power of Satan Must Be Broken

White World Conflict War in Europe Hastens End of White Rule

White world power is clashing against itself in the Russia-Ukraine conflict in Eastern Europe. The months-long war has descended into threats of a wider and much longer lasting catastrophe.

Hawkish rhetoric by America, her Western European allies, Ukraine and Russia has intensified—and so has the likelihood of greater conflict.

“We’re in a very dangerous spot,” said Eugene Puryear, activist, and host of BreakThrough News Podcast. “It seems that the only people talking about peace now at this point … are those of us around the world who would like to not have a nuclear war,” he said. America’s posture, in particular, has shifted into even more all-out war scenario, with billions more dollars in weapons being shipped to Ukraine, noted Mr. Puryear.

U.S. lawmakers pledged in late April to move fast on a plan to send $33 billion to help Kyiv keep fighting. Rep. Adam Kinzinger, on CBS News Face the Nation, spoke of his congressional resolution that authorizes the president to use military force in Ukraine. It’s “giving the president basically congressional leverage or permission to use it if WMDs—nuclear, biological or chemical—are used in Ukraine. Doesn’t compel the president to do it. It just says if it is used, he has that leverage,” the Illinois Republican said May 1. WMDs is the abbreviation for weapons of mass destruction.

But beyond the geopolitical and military analysis, the tumultuous fighting between White World powers raging in Eastern Europe must be understood in the light of scriptures. According to the writings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, the world rule of Caucasian people, in particular, is facing divine judgment. He described it as a time of an “old world going out and a new world coming in,” driven by the presence of God.

The present world, ruled by Caucasian people, has been judged and condemned by God Himself and war will be one means of its destruction, Mr. Muhammad taught. Judgement has come because the rule of White people has been deadly and destructive, notably with the killing of the indigenous people of America and the horrors and genocide of the transatlantic slave trade. Not to mention, evil, oppression and widespread slaughter of the darker people of the earth.

“The troublemakers must be punished and brought to an end so they will never be able to give trouble anymore. Many shall suffer because of the corruption that this world has brought and is bringing upon innocent people,” warned Messenger Muhammad in his writings.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan repeated and explained his Teacher’s warning May 2 in Eid holiday remarks as the holy month of Ramadan drew to a close for Muslims. He again shared how the war in Ukraine would have devastating results for America, Russia and usher in widespread sorrow.

“Nearly fifty days ago Russia attacked the Ukraine. For the first time as I can recall reporters were embedded into the areas of war. Death and destruction has been recorded and shown on television to the American people,” said the Minister speaking over the Ramadan Prayerline.

“I don’t know any war that America has had that has had the type of publishing where we could see the devastation of war, bodies in the streets,” he continued. Along with that are media reports of alleged Russian atrocities, rapes, and families separated as men fight for Ukraine, said the Minister.

“And this war has been brought into our living room where we can sit and see and watch death and destruction visited upon the people of Ukraine. How then can America stay out of a war when the American people are feeling the pain of the Ukrainian people suffering in their cities and sheltered from the bombs and rockets that are falling on them?” asked Min. Farrakhan.

He repeated his Saviours’ Day 2022 warning from February about the U.S. being drawn into the war and a wider world facing the wrath of God Himself. “Wherever we are in the Muslim world rejoicing over the success of our Ramadan yet the clouds of war are gathering over the Muslim world. We are being chastised, and the opening of the serious chastisement of the human family has begun,” warned Min. Farrakhan.

“I have been made a trumpet of warning and good news to our people and to the nation by the permission of Allah (God),” he continued.

“Russia and America eventually will go to war. War will affect the entire planet,” said Min. Farrakhan.

“The Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, told me, ‘watch Berlin.’ Now there are hundreds of thousands of Americans backing Germany because war will be in Europe. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to me it will start with conventional weapons and quickly it would be nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons will make Europe a graveyard,” he said.

“America you’re not going to have a good day,” Min. Farrakhan added.

We will reap evil, the Minister warned, “if we do not repent of our evil in time because the chastisement is getting worse and worse and the great calamity is on its way.”

More Russian threats of nuclear weapons

Vladimir Putin told lawmakers in St. Petersburg April 26 the West wanted to break Russia into pieces and pushed Ukraine into conflict with Moscow. He vowed Russia’s “retaliatory strikes will be lightning fast.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke of “real” possibility of World War III erupting and limited nuclear weapons use. “I think what Foreign Minister Lavrov said about how we are on the precipice of World War III is sadly not hyperbole. It really does feel that there is a lot of realism to that statement,” said Mr. Puryear.

Russian energy giant Gazprom’s halting of natural gas flow to NATO members Poland and Bulgaria added to harsh words and intensifying conflict. In March, President Putin required “unfriendly” countries pay for fuel in Russian rubles. The policy obligated countries to open a special account allowing Gazprom to convert euros and dollars to rubles for payment.

Stopping the gas flow in late April was condemned by European leaders as “blackmail,” and marked a dramatic escalation in the economic war of sanctions and countersanctions. At Final Call presstime chinks in the armor of European unity were showing. Four unnamed European natural gas buyers bucked the EU and paid Russia in rubles for supplies, Bloomberg reported. Europe receives 40 percent of its natural gas from Russia and makes about $880 billion in annual payments.

Despite appeals by various stakeholders, including the United Nations, various anti-war groups and human rights organizations to end the war, destruction, mayhem, and bloodletting was rising.

“They’re operating under the flawed assumption that they can force the Russians into backing down. That Putin and the Russian Federation are not serious about taking this to the brink,” said Ajamu Baraka, national organizer for Black Alliance for Peace. “And therefore, in typical White male fashion, they are pushing this to a point where they’re going to stumble into a direct confrontation. And that’s going to be tragic for the U.S. and for the entire world,” he said.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ratcheted up war talk April 25 by saying the U.S. desired to “weaken” Russia. “We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine,” Mr. Austin said arriving back in the U.S. from Kyiv with Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

In February 27 remarks during a Chicago message called “The Swan Song,” Min. Farrakhan said, “All White power has to end. The kingdom of God has to be established.” “The Messenger said Europe will be one of the worst war areas of all the world,” the Minister said referring to his teacher, the Hon. Elijah Muhammad. “And when you start going away, the Messenger said, ‘you go away by the tens of thousands to fight.’ He said, ‘but you’ll come back by the fives and tens.’ ”

“You can’t win another war,” Min. Farrakhan said.

America is first on God’s list to be destroyed as an example for her counterparts in Europe, Elijah Muhammad said. America ignored the cries for justice from Black, Brown, and indigenous people whom she had enslaved, subjugated, oppressed and murdered for nearly five centuries.

“Did you think that you can kill off millions of Native Americans? Did you think you can take a nation out of Africa and do what America has done and it’s continuing to do?” the Minister asked. “If you continue to do what you do, your time is up.

“God would not be just to allow America to escape for what America has done. Not only to us and to the Mexicans and to the Indians, but to people around the world,” the Muslim leader said.

Elijah Muhammad explained in his pivotal book, “The Fall of America,” how America and Russia, the two most powerful warmongers in the world, are seeking to maintain their rule over the nations of earth, and even to conquer outer space.

“This will not last long. In their travel and investigation into space, Allah, (God), is permitting them to peep into His great, unequalled creation of power and might, the heavens and earth. The Holy Qur’an teaches that when Allah, (God), gets ready to destroy a people He opens the doors of heaven to them,” said Messenger Muhammad. “He gives them a peep into His great wisdom and secrets. But this does not mean that this adds power to the enemy to be able to war against the Creator. The reason for all of this is due to the fact that Allah, (God), is setting up a kingdom of righteousness, freedom, justice and equality.”
